As we closed out 2025 we took a little time out from daily business to recognise our team.
Our team go above and beyond everyday in their roles to deliver outstanding results for our customers and the business. We ask the team to raise nominations for the coveted spot of, “Employee of the Year”.
Reasons for the nominations can be extremely varied. They can be extremely personal, to simply an acknowledgement of a job well done.
The Control Techniques brand has been a common sight in our workshops since the mid 1980s with their early variable speed units. Whilst primarily our business was focussed on repair and refurbishment, the need to upgrade and retrofit drive units to support our customers has grown in recent years. Familiarity of the CT product with our engineering team means that we can either provide units from stock, or plan in an upgrade of older drives with ease. I’m proud that we are an Approved Nidec Drives Partner and this partnership will strengthen our service offering to our customers.

In late May 2025 on an overcast Saturday morning in Stoke-on-Trent, while many were enjoying a weekend lie-in, our workshop was a buzz with anticipation. We took delivery of a serious piece of kit, a brand new DMG Mori DMU 50, 5-axis milling machine. It’s the latest addition to our continued investment in world-class engineering capability, forming a core part of our £700,000 expansion in our Advanced Manufacturing Department.
