Main function of job

To test, inspect, evaluate, dismantle, repair and reassemble AC and DC motors, Servo motors, gearboxes, fans and pumps.

You will be competent to examine parts for cracks, wear and tear damage. Assess for out of tolerance measurements for specific parameters. Be proficient in removing bearings from shafts and or housings; examine bearings, shafts and other moving parts for wear or defects. Be confident in your ability to reassemble and test.

You will work along side management to ensure repair jobs are completed within an effective, efficient manner in line with the companies policies, procedures and the customer quotation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fault finding
  • Dismantle and assessment
  • Repair and test
  • Document findings on system notes
  • Request spares and material
  • Employ good housekeeping
  • Communicate findings to other members of staff and in some cases discuss with the customer

Essential Qualifications and Competencies

  • A successful track record within the repair industry
  • Ability to interpret diagrams
  • Knowledge of AC and DC motors
  • Knowledge of pumps and gearboxes

    Desirable Qualifications and Competencies

    • Certification in Repair and overhaul of EX certified products
    • Professional qualification in mechanical engineering

    Noon Shift
    Monday - Friday: 1pm – 9.30pm

    Rotating Shift
    Monday – Friday: 6am - 2.30pm & 2.30pm – 10pm

    Night Shift
    Monday – Friday: 10pm - 6am
    Sunday – Thursday: 10pm – 6am
    Saturday – Wednesday 10pm – 6am
