Local Workshop to national engineering partner
Founded in 1946, Fletcher Moorland started life helping local industry after the Second World War. What began as a small specialist engineering service quickly grew thanks to a reputation for honest advice, quality workmanship and dependable turnaround times.
Through the early decades, the business became known for helping manufacturers keep essential equipment running, building long-term partnerships that still exist today. That customer-first mindset has been passed down through generations of family leadership and remains central to how the business still operates today.
As manufacturing technology advanced through the 1970s to the 2000s, Fletcher Moorland expanded its capability to support more complex industrial systems.
The business developed specialist knowledge across motors, drives and industrial control electronics, helping customers navigate the shift towards automation and smarter production systems. Rather than simply repairing equipment, the team focused on helping customers improve reliability, reduce downtime and extend asset life.

As part of the 80th anniversary celebrations, Fletcher Moorland will host a special charity gala in July at the bet365 Stadium.
The evening will be a celebration of everything the business and its people have achieved over eight decades. We'll bring together colleagues, customers and partners for an unforgettable night of celebration and fundraising.
The gala will support the Douglas Macmillan Hospice with an ambitious goal of raising £80,000 in honour of the company’s 80th year. Guests will have the opportunity to take part in a silent auction, with all proceeds helping to support vital local hospice care services.
It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the past, look forward to the future, and give something meaningful back to the community that has supported the business for so many years.
